# My login link expired — how do I sign in?

What to do when a Loop sign-in link has expired or already been used, and how to get a fresh one without retyping your email.

If your sign-in link expired or was already used, you don't need to go back to the login page and start over. The expired-link screen recognizes the email tied to that link and lets you request a fresh one with a single tap — the new link is sent straight to your inbox and expires in 15 minutes.

## Why did my link expire?

Sign-in links are single-use and time-limited. You'll land on the "Couldn't sign you in" screen if:

- **The link expired** — too much time passed since we sent it.
- **The link was already used** — each link works once; opening an old email again after you've already signed in won't work.

Both cases show the same recovery option, so you don't have to figure out which one happened.

## How do I get a new link?

1. When you open an expired or already-used link, we show a **Couldn't sign you in** screen with your email address filled in from the original link.
2. Select **Send a new link**.
3. Check your inbox — we'll send a fresh sign-in link to the same address. Once it arrives, the screen updates to confirm it's on its way and that it expires in 15 minutes.
4. Open the new link from your email. It signs you in and takes you straight to your **Dashboard** (or wherever you were headed before the link expired).

If you'd rather start fresh with a different email, select **Back to login** instead.

## What if it says my account doesn't exist?

If the link doesn't recognize an account for that email, we'll route you to sign up with the address already filled in, so you can create an account in one pass instead of retyping it.

## Still stuck?

If a freshly requested link still won't verify, email us at [dharsan@topmate.io](mailto:dharsan@topmate.io) and we'll help you get back in.
